IVR Call Transfer / Patch Setup
To transfer calls using COS IVR, you have two options:
1. Transfer to a preset number in the script:
In a question response field (e.g., "Press 1"), enter "transfer 1234567890" (using lowercase for "transfer" and the 10-digit phone number without spaces or dashes).
2. Transfer to a number from the data:
In a question response field (e.g., "Press 1"), enter "transfer " (using lowercase for "transfer" and replacing "" with the appropriate field from your data).
Note that this is different from a live call patch setup, which does not use brackets or an equal sign - just a single space between "transfer" and the phone number.
The key points are:
- Use lowercase for "transfer"
- Provide the 10-digit phone number without spaces or dashes
- For a number from the data, use the format "transfer "
- This is distinct from a live call patch, which has a different format
