Passes Through A Call File

A "pass" through a call list refers to dialing each viable record at least once.

Standard practice is to make three passes on landline numbers and one full pass on cell phone numbers. During the second and third passes on landline records, any numbers that were previously marked as "No Answer," "Busy," or "Answering Machine" are redialed. While there is no limit on the number of passes that can be made through a list, it is unlikely that the list will yield many additional results after the initial three passes.
