First, open the media file the client sent and examine it. Ensure the file is less than 500kb in size. Save the file using a memorable name.
Next, launch the CyberDuck application. CyberDuck should sign you in automatically, but if not, enter the following information:
Server/Host: home235498923.1and1-data.host
Port: 22
Protocol: SFTP
Password: ccf123!
Personal Note: ccf123!
Once CyberDuck is open, you may see the following messages:
- "Set Cyberduck as default application for FTP and SFTP locations?" (Choose "Cancel")
- "Unknown Fingerprint" (Choose "Allow")
Drag and drop the media file into CyberDuck to automatically upload it. After the upload, you'll see another "Unknown Fingerprint" message - choose "Allow" again.
To test the URL, open a new Google Chrome tab and enter: http://iwunder.com/mms/[filename] (e.g. http://iwunder.com/mms/owls.jpg).
Troubleshoot any errors by:
- Verifying the file name and type at the end of the URL
- Ensuring you've included "http://" at the beginning
If the image loads successfully, copy the URL and paste it into the "MMS URL" box in cOS. Click "Save".
Always test the MMS internally before sending it out. It can take up to 30 seconds for the test to reach your phone. If the image doesn't come through, check Twilio for any errors:
- "Error: 21620 - Invalid media URL(s). One or more media URLs you provided is invalid. Please use only valid HTTP and HTTPS URLs."
- This could mean the URL is incorrect or the media file is too large. Resize the file or ask the client to provide a smaller version.
If the internal test is successful, test the MMS with the client as well (if applicable). Once everything checks out, make the project active and send the texts.
