Record Suppression
Record suppression is a process that prevents specific records from being dialed by marking them as "Do Not Call."
This ensures those flagged records are not contacted during an active calling project. It's recommended to identify records for suppression before dialing begins, so any flagged numbers are excluded upfront.
If suppression is required during or after dialing, only the callable records will be suppressed - all other status codes will remain unchanged. COS requires that suppressed records be identified by the unique phone number or alphanumeric ID number.
To suppress records, follow these steps:
- Click "Campaign Database"
- Select "Suppress Records"
- Upload the suppression file
- Match the "File Column" and "Database Column" drop down fields
- File Column: the column contained within the suppression file
- Database Column: the column contained within the original data file
- Click "Save & Next"
